Yesterday was a wonderful Thanksgiving Day. We drove to my aunt Pat's house in Hanover, PA so we could be with family. The 2 1/2 hour drive was so worth the time we got to spend with their family. Even my cousin Cassie and her husband drove over to say hi. The food was so amazing and I think I gained a couple of pounds. My cousin Chad helped the kids discover the rolling chair which was their favorite toy at their house. He is great with the kids as well as my cousin Jess, and it's fun to watch all the interaction between them.

Of course Ryan can't be an angel all the time and made a huge mess with the cat water and food. He was soaked from the waist down and had to be changed.

The food was so good Ryan couldn't resist a little cat nap. Who can after a Thanksgiving meal?

After eating we all relaxed for awhile so our bellies could get ready for the super yummy pie!
We have a lot to be thankful for this year. We have a roof over our heads, food in the fridge, the gospel in our lives, the best family ever, and to much more to name.
This morning I was thankful for my wool coat when I was standing outside Target at 3:00 am. I went out black friday shopping and found this year to be rather easy. I did have to wait in a cold line for 2 hours but then I was out of the store at 5:05 am. It only took me about 4 minutes to find what I needed and get out. So nice! Anyway, Happy Thanksgiving everyone! We love you!

We love you too! I am glad your Black Friday shopping went well. Scott went to walmart to snag us a GPS. He said he will never, ever, ever, ever, do it again! LOL! I love that picture of Ryan sleeping in his booster. It is priceless. I think we all feel like sleeping after we eat that yummy dinner. I am glad that since you weren't able to spend it with us, you still had family. Makes me feel better about you being so far away. We had missionaries at Scott's parents for dinner. One of them was from Philly. We thought that was funny!
i am soo glad you were able to travel down and spend thanksgiving with pat's family. Poor Ryan must have been exhausted! i miss pat's family and i'm glad someone is getting to spend time with her. I am also glad you got what you needed at target! You go ambitious sister of mine!
How neat that you have family close enough to drive to! I just finished this book about the Johnstown flood in Pennsylvania, and you're my only friends in Pennsylvania. It was intriguing. Do you know about it?
