Kyrie's first dance recital

Today was a proud parent kind of day. Not because Kyrie did every dance move just right but because she got up there and tried something new. After this mornings dress rehearsal I thought the recital was going to be a disaster. I was proven wrong and we even got some great laughs. The program was a centered toward Disney magic. Kyrie's pre-dance class danced to "Bibbity Bobbity Boo" from Cinderella. As you can see Kyrie got to put on make up for the performanceand loved it. Many thanks to Grisel for doing it for us. She was so excited that she finally got to wear her costume. What girl wouldn't love tap shoes and a pretty costume?
Kyrie loved having her best friend Nina in her dance class. They looked so cute!!

This is better shot of the decorations they worked so hard to do. It was a fun idea having all the dances Disney related.I thought that Kyrie was most likely going to just stand there when she saw the group of people watching them. She proved us wrong. She didn't do her dance like she was supposed to but she didn't stand there either. She just did the same move over and over again. The funniest part ever was her spin. I have never seen her do it like that before but I sure had a good laugh. That is why the videos are a little shaky. I had some problems focusing the camera with the video so there are two different videos of the dance.

At the end they stood there to bow and Kyrie was a total ham. She was so dang funny and cute! Everyone couldn't help but laugh. The had a "Believe in the Magic" Finale with all the dancers. Kyrie just stood there and stared. She was done and nothing I could say could get her to smile. At least she had fun taking the class and learning how to dance.
The set was very fun and Kyrie had to have her picture taken with Snow White.

Sorry about all the silly pictures and videos, but no one in our families got to be there. Therefore I added crazy little things to add more to the blog "experience."

Gracie is getting to the point now where she notices other people around her size and she LOVED the pictures of Kyrie! She sat and grinned at her as I scrolled down the screen. She looks pretty precious all dolled up for her recital!
