This post is mostly for my families sake to keep them updated but feel free to read away.
Today was my Histoscopy to remove my rogue IUD, and I am glad it's over with. Although, the worst part of the whole thing was the IV. The first 2 nurses couldn't get it and neither could the IV specialist. They finally called the Anesthesiologist in for a try at it. He was able to get it on his second try at least. I now have 7 holes with bruises around them where the first attempts were not successful. Once the IV was in the rest was a cake walk. The took me into the OR and I was out within a couple minutes. The procedure went well despite our big surprise. After taking pictures of my uterus and checking around thoroughly, the doctor was sure there was no IUD in there. I thought they were kidding me but alas they were not. I had an ultrasound after the first 2 attempts were not successful a couple months back and they thought they saw it there. It must have just fallen out and we mysteriously aren't pregnant. We are taking care of that problem right away. All in all it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. We at least know now the IUD wasn't the pain problem. We are thinking it may be scar tissue from the c-section with Ryan. I am going to talk with the doctor about it next week. Thanks everyone for your concern and prayers in my behalf. I have the best family and friends ever. I want to especially thank Patty for watching my kids half the day. You are a saint!

Good to at least get some answers. Is there anything they can do to help with the scar tissue pain?
It fell out? Are you kidding me? You must have an angel looking over your shoulder to not be pregnant. Glad it went well in the end.
Wow, now that really is a surprise. Especially that you aren't pregnant! How crazy. So sorry you had to go through all that.
Wow. You must be in shock. Maybe the pain was the IUD leaving?? Sheesh!
We had a blast with the kids today. They were so good, and Kyrie is so much fun! I am not used to kids that talk yet and she was such a breath of fresh air! Carter loved it too. They are welcome back any time. :)
Ok, I'm going to be honest. I'm not sure I'm all for the it must have fell out story. I mean, come on, really? How could you not notice something like that falling out? I don't fully buy it. But I hope it's the real deal. I am REALLY sorry about the 7 pokes and bruises in your arms. You should take a picture. That is aweful! I wish you could have been me today. In all my life I've only had to be re-poked just once. Besides when I was a baby and they couldn't get one anywhere they tried and ended up doing it in my foot.
Hey Amy,
I am glad you are doing well. I am happy to see that you Luke, and the kids are doing great. I hope you don't mind but I look at your blog often. It was good to see you at Jeff's wedding reception. You will always be a friend to me. Love Nachelle McEwan (Hersch)
