Family update

I have been really bad about posting on our blog lately and thought it was about time I gave an update on how we are all doing. I will try to be better in the future.

Kyrie is doing awesome for a change. She had her Urologist appointment last week and it went very well. She has been bladder infection free for 8 weeks now which is the longest stretch in over a year. It has been so nice not hearing her complain the it hurts to go to the bathroom and the accidents associated with the UTI's are gone as well. She has been taking a medicine that prevents the infections for those 8 weeks and she will continue it until Thanksgiving. They are hoping that is enough time for her body to take over. It makes me so thankful for insurance so we don't have to pay the $424.00 a bottle for that medicine. She is loving preschool. When I pick her up everyday she always has fun things to say about what they did or learned. Her teacher is great and I am so glad I picked a good school for her to go. She gets very excited about everything and she can't wait until Halloween.

Ryan is a typical 2 1/2 year old. He is very independant and stubborn but the cutest little guy ever. He LOVES anything with wheels and it occupies most his time. Whether it be a truck book, a motorcycle, or a tractor he is a happy little boy. He is talking more and more and is learning at such a fast rate. He also really like Toy Story and we watch it almost everyday. He is even being Woody for Halloween. (our little phillies fan)Luke is in his family practice rotation and is currently commuting to New Jersey for work. It's an hour commute but it's better than him being away from us for 6 weeks. He is learning a lot and he even diagnosed something the resident missed. He keeps busy with work and with his calling as Ward Mission Leader.

I am enjoying life right now. With Kyrie having school from 12:00-2:30 pm Ryan actually takes a nap while she is at school. That means like 2 hours of quiet time for me. It has been so nice. My calling in young women's keeps me busy along with the kids but life is good. I have been planning some fun things for Halloween this year since the kids are so excited about it. We enjoyed my parents visit and look forward to Luke's parents visit in November.

We went to a firestation open house near our house last week to let the kids see the firetrucks. I figured since Ryan loves them so much it would be so fun for him to see them in person. It ended up being just the opposite. He was kind of scared of them and Kyrie was the one who got up in them and explored around. We got a tour of the firehouse and then at the end Ryan finally got in the truck for like 30 seconds. I think he just needed to warm up to them.

Parker loves those pictures with the firetrucks! Parker and Ryan are SO alike! Luke's commute is worse than Bri's. I understand the YW's being busy. Although you will be a lot more busy than me being pres. Thanks for the update. It has been a while. I haven't blogged a lot either lately...
