Last Saturday we took the kids to a farm North of Philadelphia and let them pick out their very own pumpkin and some fresh apples. The farm had it set up so you could have a hayride to the orchard and pick which apples you wanted, then have another hayride back. Armed with the double stroller we let the kids pick whichever pumpkins they wanted. Kyrie of course went for the biggest one she could find. The thing weighed 34 lbs. and was bigger than her. Ryan also picked a rather large one and we ended up making 2 trips to the car with the double stroller. We will try carving them in a couple days which is Luke's area of expertise. I wish I would have thought to take my camera.

Halloween fun
Last week I let the kids paint the pumpkins they got from Kyrie's school trip. It's something fun that we do every year and the kids love it. They paint to their hearts content and when they are done the pumpkins are more of a gray color because they mix the colors so much.

Today we had the mom & tots Halloween party. Charise did a great job putting this together and the kids had a blast. As you can see Ryan didn't want to stand with the other kids for a picture. He was having a bad day from the moment he woke up. The bloody nose on the way there didn't help either. Luckily the car seat straps saved his costume from getting ruined.
They played pin the mouth on the pumpkin.
They decorated cupcakes and of course Ryan made a big mess. But it was yummy!
They even played a game where they caught witches with sticky hands.

So cute! I love painting pumpkins. We're doing that stuff this week. They look so cute in their costumes. It's so much fun when they get into it too.
What a fun mom and tots!! I love all those fun games! And I didn't even think to get a pumkin that Parker could paint. Next year... I love that farm idea! Tomorrow I will be going with Tara to this Halloween thing for kids in Ogden. I hope Parker likes it ( :
