I haven't blogged forever and some of the reason was that we were enjoying a fun visit from Luke's parents. They flew in on the 19th of November and were able to stay with us until late on the 29th.

It was Luke's birthday while they were here and we had a big party.

Luke had the kids so excited as he was opening his presents. It makes me think of how Christmas will be when the presents are actually for them.

The kids had a little harder time going to sleep with all the fun things we were doing.

There was some construction on our road one day and it kept the kids entertained watching the dump trucks and tractors.

Kyrie loved having her grandparents here and soaked up every minute of it.

Luke had to work a good chunk of the time his parents were here. He did get a couple of days off for Thanksgiving but when his parents flew in on Friday night he was working a 24 hour shift and didn't see them until the next day. This surgery rotation is a very busy one!

The kids had lots of story times with grandma!

On Thanksgiving we were treated to our first snow of the season. It didn't stick but we got to watch flakes fall for a couple of hours.

It was so fun the have visitors this year for Thanksgiving. Here is Luke's getting the turkey juices out to make gravy.

If Luke ever gets around to reading this, he probably won't like that I put this picture on the blog, but I think this is how most people feel when they smell the turkey just out of the oven.
I could go on and on about all the memories that were made these last couple weeks but that would take forever. A few things we did do were: Shopping (without the kids), Luke and I got to go on a date to see Harry Potter, Thanksgiving!, A party for Luke's 29th birthday, lots of story times, We all went to see Tangled (cute show), Luke and his parents went sight seeing in downtown Philadelphia, lots of wonderful grandpa and grandma time!
We had so much fun with Terry and Kathy visiting us. Thanks for all you did while you were here! We love you guys!

So fun to have family come and visit when you're so far away. I love Kyrie's face when Luke's opening presents. What one was it that she was so excited about? :)
Your family is SO CUTE!! I am thrilled that you got to be together with loved ones. We miss you. :)
So many good thoughts! Love the pic of Luke and the turkey, and the kids watching him open birthday gifts! Love the blankets (obviously I'd seen Kyrie's before, but Ryan's is great too!), and the book that Kathy read so the kids could hear it whenever they wanted. Good luck as you contintue on in this crazy hour surgical rotation. I'm glad you had a great thanksgiving, and a great visit with the Wayments!
