Kyrie's broken wrist

Saturday was a very eventful day at our house. I was super busy trying to get ready for New Beginnings on Sunday, so after dinner I sent the kids to play in there room. After awhile Kyrie came running out of her room crying pretty hard. He was holding her wrist and said that it really hurt. She wouldn't let us touch it, so we had her sit on the couch for 20 minutes with a movie so she could calm down. Luckily Luke was home and tested her wrist. We knew something was wrong when she couldn't bend her hand up. Luke stayed home with Ryan and I took Kyrie the hospital ER. It didn't seem like they were very busy but we were still there for 3 hours. Good thing Kyrie had all whole department wrapped around her finger. They took the x-ray and confirmed a buckle fracture to her wrist. They put a soft cast (first picture) on it at the ER and today I had to take her to a Orthopedic doctor to put on the hard cast.  Luckily she only has to wear it for 3-4 weeks. I can already tell that clothing and coats are going to be a big issue. Not much will fit over it so I a will attempt to rig some of her clothes.
The doctor gave her and Ryan each a colored glove to play with.

And to think all this was caused by her jumping and dancing on the bed. Needless to say there is no more jumping on the bed at my house.

So glad Luke was home so you didn't have to drag them both to the ER. You'll have to post pics of rigging her clothes so you can get them on over the cast!

Wow! Talk about adding stress to your existing stress. I am so sorry for Kyrie. I hope she feels better soon.

i was seriously surprised when the cast wasn't pink ( : I still feel so bad for her. It always seems as though these things happen when we are already so stressed. Give her a hug for me. I love that she is still just smiling away in every picture!

Just look at that beaming smile! It's hard to believe she was in any pain with a face that happy! I'm glad she's doing okay. And I hope you still got a chance to finish up your New Beginnings stuff too. :)
