Kyrie has had a lump on her jaw line for around five weeks now so I took her to the pediatrician when we got back from Utah. If I remember correctly, it may have started as a bug bite and progressed from there but I don't know. They couldn't tell if it was a cyst or a swollen lymph node so we then went to St. Christopher's Children's Hospital to see a plastic surgeon. He thinks it is some kind of cyst that needs to come out. So this Friday she will go in to have it surgically removed. They are going to try to take it out through her mouth to miniumize scarring but it will also make eating hard. We are going to stock up on things she will be able to eat before hand and hope for a speedy recovery.

Poor girl! Does it hurt or is it just in the way? From the pictures it looks like it hurts a lot. She looks so adorable in her graduation gown. I love it!
That looks kinda like what Shay had as a baby. It was on her neck and they think it was an infected lymph node. After trying medication, it had to be removed surgically. She has a cute little scar where they had to take it out. Hopefully the surgery goes well and Kyrie will be healthy and happy and eating normal foods soon!
Oh my poor girl! I hope it goes okay!!
Oh my goodness! That does not look fun. I hope all goes well with the surgery. The Staff at St. Christopher's is great! We loved Annalise's surgeon. Hope all goes well!
