I remember not learning to read until first grade and even then it was easy 3-4 letter words. Now days everything is so different. Kyrie gets a homework packet that she has all week to complete. She also is learning to write slight words and has to write the assigned words 12 times in her notebook. Then everyday she brings home 3-4 books that she needs to read to me. They are fairly simple 4 ish word sentence books which I think are really helping her to practice reading. Thank goodness she really likes homework and I don't have to fight her to do it. In fact she completes it all early every week.
P.S. And yes she still loves to dress up after school. Can you tell?
