My new adventure
As most of you know I have been having side pains for almost 4 years now. Last week we found out what the reason is. I had a hysterosalpingogram done and in the x-ray they saw something very rare. My IUD that was placed not long after Ryan was born is floating around in my abdomen and not in my uterus where it's supposed to be. It's very rare and they only way to remove it is surgery. So next Thursday I will have laparoscopic surgery to remove the wayward IUD. We know the general area it's in but not the exact location so they don't know if it's attached it's self to another organ, or covered in scar tissue, and etc. We hope they will just be able to pull it out so I don't have to have another surgery with a general surgeon. On the plus side, I am hoping this takes care of my side pain. Plus I am somewhat of a novelty in the OB office and all the other doctors wanted to meet me. They saw my x-ray pictures and have never seen anything like this before. Of course if it happened to someone, it would be me.

I am just so glad they finally found it! We're praying that the surgery goes well next week and that you don't have to go back in. That is still such a crazy situation!
Yikes! Let us know if you need anything!
I hope everything goes okay!!
