Our end of summer camping trip

We were so lucky to get up camping this year even if was cut a little short because of the weather. Our original plans had to be cancelled because of storms but luckily we had a back up plan and still got to go. With the new baby coming this winter and Luke graduating in May I don't know if we will be able to make it out next year. It is always so much work to go camping but it's always worth it. There is nothing like fresh air, nature, and family to
Ryan was in his height of glory with his tractors and plenty of dirt to scoop.
We don't usually see to much wildlife at Hickory Run, but this year we saw some wild turkeys. It was a fun change to see more than just squirrels and chipmunks.
We went on a hike that ended with this beautiful waterfall.
 Now that's a handsome guy.
I can't get Kyrie to pose normal for the camera anymore but at least she's cute.
 Our little family.
Ryan got Luke to help him build little dams below the waterfall.

 The best wood chopper ever.

 Watching daddy start a fire.
There wasn't to much fall color yet, but a few of the trees were starting to change. The weather was actually quite cool, only getting to 68* for a high. The night was pretty cold at around 42*. The kids and Luke stayed warm enough but I of course froze.
I love being able to enjoy a good campfire. What a nice way to spend the evening. It's one of my favorite things about camping.

Okay, Amy. I need to find out where this was and have you teach me your wonderful ways! We want to go camping so bad and Chris is such an outdoorsman... But my boys and I definitely are NOT. We just haven't had an opportunity. I'm glad the rain didn't get you guys your 2nd try and that you were able to have fun!
