A day at the shore part 2

A few people wanted to know the story behind the seashells in the previous post. Like any other kid Kyrie went seashell hunting and wanted to bring them home. I thought it was a cute idea so I had her make a pile which went into the cooler when we left. After we got home I opened the cooler to rinse the sand off of everything and was assaulted with a horrible smell. I hadn't thought about things still inside the shells. Kyrie had picked up a couple mussel shells along with the others and they were still occupied. The smell was horrible and it took awhile to get the smell out of the kitchen. My advice would just be to check your kids seashells before you leave the beach.
