This winter is starting to be a bit ridiculous. It probably wouldn't be so bad if we had somewhere to put the snow and if the city could get around to plow down our street at least once. Luke spent 2 hours shoveling, digging out our cars, and helping all the stuck people get out this morning. The kids and I went out for about an hour to play before Ryan wanted to go in. Obviously Luke was late getting to the hospital, but it just wasn't possible to go anywhere earlier. Even the trucks were getting stuck trying to leave the neighborhood. Luckily I don't have anywhere I need to be today. The snow started yesterday with NO warning. The weather people have taken a lot of crap since they predicted no accumulation yesterday morning and we ended up getting 5 inches. Add that to last night and we got about 16 inches total.
This is one of the many vehicles that got stuck this morning. The truck is actually the one stuck.
Under all the snow was a lovely layer of ice from the freezing rain inbetween the snow storms.
Here are some fun videos of the Ryan trying to help shovel the snow. He prefers to play with the shovel outside of the snow whereas Kyrie likes to jump right in.

Haha I love the shoveling off the car! It was so fun seeing him "help" by getting those little bits off the side. That is a lot of snow!
That's some crazy snow!!! Wow! i hpoe you guys get plowed out at some point. Looks like your kids had a lot of fun though! Ryan is talking so well! You should get more vidoe of his cute little voice!
That is insane!!! Even here in Utah where we are supposed to have the snow, we don't have near that much. ANd how do you do anything with a layer of ice under it all? I can't believe how crazy this winter has been for Philly!
Wow, you guys have gotten tons of snow this year! have you passed our total snow fall levels that we got last year?? I was just telling Conan I miss playing in the snow back there with the boys, but I don't miss having to drive in it, etc. Looks like you guys are making the best of it though!
Wow! I can't believe all that snow! It's worse than last winter! You'd think the city would have learned their lesson and put a better snow removal plan in place. Your kids sure are cute playing in it, though!
