Yay for Zoo Day!

The weather today was so nice, we couldn't pass up an opportunity to spend it outdoors at the Philadelphia Zoo. Not to mention Luke got to come which made it extra special.
A peacock was showing off for us and it was very pretty!
Kyrie's first request was to feed the goats. When you live in a big city you can't just drive a few blocks away and see farm animals. You actually have to go to the zoo to even see a cow.
Ryan was so funny when it came to brushing the goats. He kept running back and forth to get different brushes. I guess he just had to try them all out.

Ryan's favorite part was of course the tractor they have in the kids farm area. He was sad that he didn't get much time to drive the tractor since there were so many other kids that needed a turn too.

They have a very cute baby orangutan and I couldn't resist snapping a picture of the little guy.
I love days like to today where the weather is perfect and we get to get out and enjoy it. And I love this age with the kids. They get excited over everything and I love it!

It's so nice to be able to get outside and do something fun as a family, especially when you don't always get very much time together.

I'm still waiting for that good weather ( : As I post this I'm watching the rain come down, knowing it is supposed to turn to snow any minute. Man, we haven't been to the Zoo since when we went as a family when you were here. Sad. We really need to go this summer. My kids would love it. I'm glad you were able to have some great family quality time, and enjoy being outside. Everytime I see that tractor I think of Parker and how much he would love that. I love that video of Ryan! Cracked me up!
