This Easter was a fun laid back weekend. Kyrie was out of school for spring break the week leading up to Easter, so we did a few activities during the week. Our Easter wouldn't have been complete without coloring eggs. I thought the kids would take their time and make pretty colors, but boy was I wrong. It seemed I only blinked and they were all done. They plopped the eggs in as fast as they could and then proceeded to remove them and put them in another color.
I guess I could have boiled more eggs, but I have been eating them everyday since then and I can't imagine trying to eat more so they don't go to waste. The Easter Bunny comes to our house on Friday night so that Saturday can be all about fun and the Easter Bunny and Sunday can be focused more on the Savior and the real reason we have Easter. The Easter Bunny did a good job hiding the kids' baskets this year and it took Kyrie awhile to find hers.
The Easter Bunny also hid plastic eggs to find around the house.
Ryan loved that there were a couple eggs hidden in his garbage truck.
Later on Saturday we met up with some friends at the park and had an egg hunt with them. The kids also got to run around on the toys and play soccer with Luke. It was REALLY windy though and made the frisbee flying an adventure. See that fence in the background of this picture of Ryan? Luke hopped that a few times to retrieve wayward frisbees.
Left to Right: Mason, Cole, Ryan, Kyrie, and Carter All ready for egg hunting!
On Easter Sunday the kids got to dress up nice for church. They looked so cute if you ask me.
Happy Easter Everyone!
