Ryan's birthday fun

Ryan has been so excited this year for his birthday. He's been asking for a couple months now if it was his birthday yet. During this past week he started receiving packages and cards in the mail and it was killing him that he couldn't open them until his birthday.
He is following in his fathers footsteps and is into lego sets. He needs help putting them together but then it provides him with hours of fun.

He is actually starting to get into sports a lot more lately. He likes to play catch with lots of different balls. He got this fun football, a new baseball glove, and a baseball bat.

As I was filming him opening his police truck the battery on my camera died. I was so sad that I missed his reaction but hopefully the picture will make up for it.

He put some of the most random things in his new police truck for a ride to an emergency. If you look in this picture he has a $2 bill and a baseball.
Of course he had to put both his new lego sets together right away. Thank goodness Luke is a pro at putting them together. Ryan helps a little too.
The weather was absolutely wonderful. We decided to go to the Core Creek Park for a picnic, to feed the ducks, and to try out Ryan's fun new presents. The ducks decided not to show up so we walked around to the lake for awhile and then found a nice spot to put our blanket for lunch.
The flowers are starting to bloom and it's beautiful.
Luke was being a good sport and letting Kyrie climb all over him while Ryan relaxed against his legs.
Our view from our picnic site. I told you it was beautiful.
The kids loved being able to run free and I loved that they were wearing themselves out.
Ryan did pretty good hitting the ball considering it was his first time ever. It was also a little entertaining. He really gets into it.

They also got to play on the playground for a long time. We were at the park for around 3 hours so they defiantly got their wiggles out.
Ryan insisted on having a garbage truck on his cake this year. I thought about buying one but could find what I wanted so I ended up making one instead.

He is one cute kid if you ask me. He loved his cake and it only took one blow to get all four candles out.
Happy Birthday Ryan!

You always pull out these awesome cakes! You go! I love all the pictures. I LOVE how exciting everything was for him. What a great birthday for a little boy. A day at the park sounds quite nice. Parker and I loved the videos.
