I haven't been the best at getting blog posts done lately. It seems as though time speeds up when school starts.
Kyrie started school a month ago and seems to really enjoy it. She lucked out and got one, if not, the best teacher at her school. Her reading is excellent for her age and she continues to grow every day. She even tries to get Ryan to play school with her at home. Of course she is the teacher and tries to get him to learn math, reading, and art. It's so funny to see hear her version of teaching. She is still very small for her age and I hope it doesn't effect her to much at school. I have seen other kids try to pick her up and mess with her in the mornings and I asked her if she wants them doing it. Her reply is usually "not really." I need to come up with a way for her to stand up for herself a little bit more I guess. She has made lots of new friends at school and tells me she likes her new teacher. Now if only I could get her moving a little faster in the morning.
Ryan started Preschool and LOVES it! He is always so excited to go and when he comes out he has the biggest grin on his face. We can't even start the car until he shows me everything in his backpack. Then he spends the drive from his school to Kyrie's telling me all about his day. I am so glad that he likes it and is always so excited to go. He is such a fun kid to be around. His personality is so upbeat and silly. Both him and Kyrie and very excited about Halloween this year and they ask very often if it is Halloween yet.
Another thing they are both very excited about is this new baby girl coming. They know she is coming out around Christmas, yet every time I have an appointment, Ryan asks if it is to get the baby out. This week I had a couple appointments. One was a routine checkup and the other was an appointment with a Maternal Fetal Medicine Doctor. When I had my targeted ultrasound at 21 weeks they thought the baby had an echogenic focus on the left ventricle of the heart. It made me and them a little nervous so I went to see the specialist this week and have another ultrasound done. I am so relieved to report that the heart looks good now.(6 weeks after the last ultrasound) The signs of the "white spot" on the heart are gone and the baby is healthy and very active. It is nice to know everything is going well with the baby and it was also fun to see her again. This time she was obviously bigger and gave us a fun show. I even had them confirm that she is indeed a girl. Now that I am 28 weeks, my stomach is getting much bigger and I can see I am going to have to be creative when it comes to getting my winter coats and jackets to fit. I feel good most of the time, as long as I eat regularly and don't over do it.
Here are some pictures of our little baby girl at last weeks appointment.
Baby's little foot.
Ryan has been funny lately with his army guys. He sets them up and then shoots them with his nerf gun. Of course he can't do it unless he is wearing his army hat. I love this kid.
